The total fire ban includes all devices emitting heat, flames, ember, sparks or in other ways transmitting heat to the ground. The ban includes all types of permanent campsites, portable stoves, grills and disposeable grills.
The total ban prohibits the use of the above mentioned devices anywhere – including private land.
The use of electric grills is not prohibited.
Extending the fire ban is, according to the county administration, a precautionary measure to further decrease the risk of forest fires. The assesment is made using SMHI:s forecast and in agreement with local fire and rescue services and the request issued by the Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) on the 25th of july.
